The most advanced elevated highway structure in Thailand covering 16 kilometers over the
existing median of the Vibhavadi Rangsit Highway, from the end of the first stage expressway
at Din Daeng northward to Don Muang airport. The typical structure consists of precast
T girders over each span, supported mostly on Y-shape piers with sophisticated post-tensioned
crossbeam. The section has been designed almost at optimality to ensure economics for the
investor, at the same time to be safe according to AASHTO 1983 Code. Since the
"Just-in-time" concept of construction is to be used, the analysis and design are handled
almost exclusively with our own in-house computer package to assure high rate of production
without major disruption to the construction schedule. |
